How To Know It's Time You Leveled Up!

Honestly, I'm comfortable. I like my life. Why should I step up a level? What about you? Is it time you stepped up? Or perhaps you're comfortable where you are?

The thing is, when it's time to level up you can either step up and take on the challenge, or you can try to stay where you are, but be warned... there are consequences!

This is how it works...

Imagine your life is a mountain that has a windy road traveling up and up. There are trees blocking the view most of the time, but occasionally along the way there are these "panoramic view points", spots where you get to really see, feel and experience the world around you. When you arrive at these points you feel free, exhilarated and wide-eyed with wonder and possibility. The thing is... to get to these points you need to walk up the mountain road completely blinded by the trees, simply putting one foot in front of another, straining your thighs, hot and thirsty with what feels like a ton of rocks in your backpack, not knowing when the panoramic view will turn up and what it'll be.

Finally you arrive, you get that thrill and excitement that comes with arriving and discovering all the beauty and possibility around you. First, it's a bit scary but in a good way, but then once you've been at the view point for a while you lose that sense of wonder you had when you first arrived. You get comfortable. You're smiling. You're happy. You know what you're doing and how you're doing it. In time you become so comfortable you get more and more uncomfortable: bored, unchallenged, stale. You begin to wonder what's next... but, all you can see is those darn trees and you know it's a long, tough walk up the hill to see what 'might' be there, so as much as you feel the pull to go to the next panoramic view point, as much as you're bored stiff here now, the thought of the slog up that hill when the next viewpoint may not be that great after all, makes you stay where you are.

And that's when the consequences kick in... Yep. Resisting your next step, wanting to remain safe in what you know, results in you getting more miserable, bored, boring, stuck, fed up, no fun, etc... by the day.

So YES, if you're stuck, bored, stale, grumpy, fed up or anything similar then it's time to face your challenges, whatever new stuff you need to learn, whatever new experiences you need to encounter, so you can get to the next point of feeling thrilled, excited and blow away by the possibility in front of you.  Just start walking. One step at a time. Just take one action at a time. One task at a time. In no time you'll find your new view point. You'll have leveled up!

ABOUT ME

I have been running my own businesses from a home office since 1996 and am passionate about business being the vehicle for our freedom. I am also deeply passionate about us each having a purpose on this planet and it's my job to help you find and live yours. I am known as the UK's No.1 Scientific Hand & Fingerprint Analyst as I introduced the system to the UK in 2010. It is the most accurate profiling tool I have encountered.
